This public symposium focuses on how we value, understand, and manage our water. After a keynote speaker, a panel of Indigenous knowledge holders, scientists, and decision makers will discuss water quality and quantity issues and how we can work together towards protecting our water.

This event will be co-hosted by Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it First Nation, Living Lakes Canada, and the Elk River Alliance, on behalf of the Elk River Watershed Collaborative Monitoring Program. Held at Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it First Nation, it will serve as a critical platform for engaging with the complex issues facing the Elk River watershed and local communities, including Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it.
